About the Movement

Why MakeforX?

This isn’t just another makeathon. MakeforX is a high-voltage sprint for students, tinkerers, coders, designers, and dreamers. It’s where grassroots innovation meets real-world challenges, powered by the vision of TITAN and the energy of your region.
Whether you’re building for water, waste, wellness or something entirely wildcard—this is your launchpad.

What is the MAKE4X Makeathon?

MAKE4X is an intensive 24-hour, offline Makeathon that brings together student innovators to work on real-world challenges across different sectors. The makeathon is designed to help students go beyond just ideas — by actually building early-stage solutions and getting expert feedback.
This is not a typical classroom project. It’s a chance to engage with real problems, meet sector experts, develop solutions under time pressure, and test how your ideas hold up in front of real evaluators.

How to apply for MakeforX Editions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

If you’re in your 3rd or 4th year of study, or you’ve graduated in the past 5 years, you’re in!

Not necessarily. While coding can help if you're building a tech prototype, teams need a mix of skills — design, research, communication, and creative problem-solving. If you’re good at understanding people, thinking logically, or designing workflows, you’ll be a valuable part of a team.

A prototype or PoC is an early version of your solution that shows how your idea would work. It doesn’t have to be fully functional or polished — it could be a basic app mockup, a simple working model, or even a set of diagrams that explain the system.

It’s ideal to have a team before the event. You don’t need a fully developed idea — the problem statements will be released a week in advance so you’ll have time to prepare and brainstorm with others. Partial development is encouraged, though complete prototype development is expected during the makeathon.

You’ll get access to:

  • 1- Sector experts who help explain the real challenges
  • 2 - Mentors who guide your thinking and solution design
  • 3 - Tools or templates to help you plan your prototype or pitch

Feedback from experienced evaluators on your final presentation

The Top 15 teams will receive dedicated mentoring from InUnity to further refine and develop their projects. The journey will culminate in a grand finale in January, where the Top 5 teams from each region will pitch their innovations to a distinguished jury from TITAN. Winners stand a chance to bag ₹1,00,000 for the first place and ₹50,000 for the runner-up.

Yes. All participants receive certificates. Top 3 teams with receive cash awards, 10,000, 7,000 and 5,000 respectively and top 15 teams will be mentored for the finale online pitching event in January.
