His remarkable invention, Amruthadhare, a Pillow Sachet Dispenser tool, has secured a substantial funding of 40 Lakhs after being selected for Elevate 2023. Mr. Prakash Urs’s journey also includes participation in the transformative Jumpstart 2023 program.
Amruthadhare addresses the issue of microplastic pollution by providing an innovative solution to reduce the generation of small plastic pieces caused by cutting traditional milk sachets and prevents the generation of small plastic pieces caused by cutting approximately 2000 tonnes of plastic daily, equivalent to 55-65 lakhs packets. This device streamlines the milk-dispensing process, prevents potential leaks, and contributes significantly to a cleaner, more sustainable future, demonstrating environmental conservation and convenience for consumers.
Amruthadhare’s innovative approach significantly contributes to two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Firstly, by reducing microplastic generation, equivalent to 55-65 lakhs packets or approximately 2000 tonnes of plastic daily, it aligns perfectly with SDG 13 for climate action. Secondly, its focus on conserving energy by reducing milk heating that contributes to SDG 7, ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
