Sociovision 2k23, held on August 26th, 2023, at Sahyadri Campus, was a grand showcase of innovation and technological excellence. The event began with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, graced by our Principal, Dr. Rajesha S, and esteemed dignitaries, symbolising the enlightenment brought by technology.
Distinguished guests Mr Karthik Attavar and Mr Arjun Rao set the stage with their insights. The highlight, however, was the innovative projects presented by our students, addressing real-world challenges. InUnity took on the vital role of mentoring and guiding the students throughout the Sociovision 2k23 event, nurturing their creativity and enhancing their problem-solving skills. Out of 120 projects, 10 teams pitched their ideas to the judges, resulting in 746 students participating and creating 110 prototypes.
Sociovision 2k23 welcomed esteemed chief guests, including Mr Mithun Bhat, Jeeth Milan Roche, Rayan D’Souza, and Ms Preksha Thej, who shared their expertise across various domains. The event also celebrated critical figures from the Sahyadri Campus, reinforcing its commitment to innovation in education.
The competition was fierce, and among the standout achievements were the winning teams. The top two teams emerged as follows:
Winner Team “Persuaders”: The Persuaders claimed the top spot with their remarkable assistive technology solutions for the visually impaired, showcasing technical expertise and a heartfelt commitment to making the world a more inclusive place for all.
Runner-up Team “Shine Boyz”: With their innovative approach to high-rise building glass cleaning, Shine Boyz captured the audience’s attention with their dedication to enhancing safety and efficiency in building maintenance.
In essence, Sociovision 2k23 offered a glimpse into the future, highlighting the potential of technology to solve real-world problems. It showcased the brilliance of Sahyadri Campus students and their determination to shape a brighter tomorrow.
