Solve4DC: Team Shiva and Team Rudra Shine in 3rd Review
As part of the Solve4DC initiative, Teams Shiva and Rudra recently had their 3rd review session with the Deputy Commissioner (DC). This important milestone took place at the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), where both teams showcased the progress they’ve made so far.
Team Shiva: Waste Management Made Smarter
Team Shiva has been working hard on a citizen-facing mobile app focused on waste collection. Here’s what it does:
Gives real-time updates on waste collection schedules.
Allows users to rate the MCC’s (Mangaluru City Corporation) waste management efforts.
Helps the Health Officer track progress ward-wise.
Their next step? They’re planning to integrate their app with the OneTouchMangaluru admin platform and will soon meet with the Commissioner to discuss how to move forward.
Team Rudra: Optimizing Ambulance Routes
Team Rudra has developed an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for an app that helps optimize ambulance routes. They were advised to:
Collaborate with the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).
Identify key traffic lights and run a pilot project at a busy junction.
Collect data from Wenlock and other hospitals to improve emergency response times.
